At Dreamhands Tattoo, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. However, in the unlikely event that you’re not, we offer support for returns under specific circumstances. Please read our return and refund policy carefully.

Returns

All sales are final. We are committed to providing high-quality tattoo tools and supplies, but we understand that there may be instances when returns are necessary. Returns/refunds are available in limited circumstances, such as warranty issues, shipping damages, or if you receive the wrong product.

Due to hygiene and safety reasons, most tattoo-related products are non-returnable, including but not limited to:

  • Tattoo inks
  • Tattoo needles
  • Cartridges
  • Sterilized items

Please select carefully when purchasing these products.

Conditions for Returns/Refunds

If you receive a product that has any of the following issues, we may offer a refund or replacement:

The product is damaged upon arrival.

The product is defective during use.

You received the wrong product.

To request a return or refund, please contact us at dreamhandstattoostudio@gmail.com within 7 days of receiving your order. You will need to provide:

  • Proof of purchase
  • Photos or a video showing the product issue

Once your request is received and verified, we will process your return or refund. If the return is due to our error, we will cover the return shipping costs of replacement or by negotiation with two parties and or the freight company in certain circumstances. For all other returns, the cost of return shipping will be your responsibility.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment within 5-7 business days.

Please note: If you haven’t received your refund yet, check with your bank or credit card provider as it may take some time for your refund to be posted.

Exchange Policy

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, please contact us at dreamhandstattoostudio@gmail.com and return the item to:

Order Cancellations

You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it by contacting us at dreamhandstattoostudio@gmail.com. After this time, if your order has already been shipped, cancellation will not be possible, and you will need to initiate a return after receiving your items.

Warranty Issues

If your product has a warranty issue, please contact us first before returning it. We will assist you in coordinating with the manufacturer to resolve the issue, which may include repairs or replacement by an authorized service team.

Shipping Costs

You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning an item, unless the return is due to our error. Shipping costs are non-refundable, and any return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund if applicable.

For products valued over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

1. Your Rights Under New Zealand Consumer Law

This policy operates in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) and the Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA).

  • Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA): If products we sell are faulty, not of acceptable quality, not fit for purpose, or do not match their description, you are entitled to a remedy. For minor faults, we may choose to repair, replace, or refund the item. For major faults, you have the right to choose a replacement or a full refund.
  • Fair Trading Act (FTA): This act protects you from misleading and deceptive conduct and unfair trading practices.

2. Eligibility for Returns

2.1. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Goods:

  • If you receive a product that is faulty, damaged during transit, or is not the item you ordered, please contact us immediately within 7 days of receiving your order.
  • We will require photographic evidence of the fault or damage.
  • Once confirmed, we will arrange for the return of the item at our expense and offer you a replacement or a full refund, including any original shipping costs.

2.2. Change of Mind Returns:

Please choose carefully as we generally do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind. This includes situations where you have ordered the wrong product, decided you no longer want the item, or found it cheaper elsewhere. Your rights under the CGA and FTA for faulty goods remain unaffected.

3. Return Process

  3. Package Your Item: Securely package the item(s) to prevent damage during transit. Include a copy of your original order confirmation or a note with your order number.
  4. Ship Your Item: Send the item(s) back to the address provided. We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method, especially for higher-value items, as we cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

4. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, and due to the nature of some products, the following items are generally non-returnable unless they are faulty or incorrect:

  • Opened or used tattoo needles, cartridges, or grips.
  • Opened or used tattoo inks, pigments, or stencil solutions.
  • Personalized or custom-made items.
  • Clearance or sale items (unless faulty).
  • Gift cards.

5. Refunds

  • Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 10 business days.
  • Original shipping costs are generally non-refundable, except in cases of faulty, damaged, or incorrect items.

6. Exchanges

  • If you wish to exchange an item (e.g., for a different size or colour, or if you received an incorrect item), please follow the return process and indicate your preference for an exchange.
  • Exchanges are subject to stock availability.
