We started selling tattoo supplies for a boring reason: we got sick of ordering from people who’d never held a machine. Dreamhands is a working studio first, with artists on the floor most days at our Auckland CBD and Hobsonville locations, and everything on this page is something one of them actually reaches for during a session.

Needle cartridges, wireless machines, stencil and transfer gear, ink mixing solution, aftercare balms. The test for whether a product makes the shelf isn’t how it photographs; it’s whether it holds up six hours into a sleeve and whether the skin looks right two weeks later. If it doesn’t clear that, we don’t stock it.

Stencil transfer paper and gel, ink mixing solution, ink mixers, grip tape — the smaller supplies a station runs on. If you’re setting up from scratch, this is usually where the shopping list gets longer than expected.
